M. Bernice Scott

M. Bernice Scott, of Warwick, passed away on March 24, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 90 years old.

Born on December 12, 1923 in Brighton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Johanna (Morrison) Farrell.

She was married for 65 years to George Scott, Jr.

Bernice was formerly a Secretary at St. Stephens RC Church in Warwick, where she was a very active member. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters and the Sodality Society. She also volunteered at St. Anthony Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, George, Jr. of Warwick; her four sons: George Scott III of Warwick, Thomas Scott of Piscataway, NJ, Kevin Scott and his wife Linda of Harrison, NY, and Brian Scott and his wife Patricia of Middletown; also survived by eight grandchildren: Douglas Scott, Stephanie Varnum, Jennifer Harmon, Matthew Scott, Adrianne Scott, Lauren Scott, Briana Scott and Julia Foppiano; and six great-grandchildren: Emily, Leah, Mallory, Ainslie, Alexander and Harper.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 26^th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990.

It is with great sadness that I heard about your mom's passing. I have such found memories of her and your family. We all grew up together at St. Stephen-St. Edward and I remember how much fun we all add together. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much she would do anything for anybody...may she finally be at peace... xo
