Ellen Lachat

Ellen Lachat, of Warwick (formerly of Brooklyn), passed away on august 21, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 91 years old.
Born on August 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen (Campbell) Grimm.
She was married to John J. Lachat for almost 71 years.
A homemaker, while living in Devon Woods, she participated in many activities, including playing bingo. A seamstress, she made clothing and enjoyed many crafts, including beaded flowers and crocheting.
The family would like to thank Dr. M. Shah and all the staff at Schervier Pavilion for their quality of care given to their loved one.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Lachat, of Warwick; her son, John Lachat and his wife Jean of Greenwood Lake; a great-granddaughter, Lacie Lachat; a sister, Elizabeth Landenberger of Seattle, WA; and nieces, Mary Ann, Peggy, Kathy & Meghan. She was predeceased by a grandson, John Lachat, Jr.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 25th, from 6:00-8:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 8:30pm. Private cremation.
