Rita Coyne

Rita Coyne, of Warwick, NY, passed away on April 24, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. She was 73 years old.

Born on February 16, 1942 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Jane (Smyth) Carolan.

She was married to the late John B Coyne (2013).

Rita grew up in Elmhurst, NY and the Jackson Heights section of Queens, NY and graduated from St. Michael’s Academy in Manhattan. She was a Circulation Manager with McGraw-Hill Publishers in E. Windsor, NJ, and also was a Real Estate Broker with DiDonato Real Estate Agency in Hamilton, NJ. She formerly volunteered at Princeton Medical Center, NJ and Meals on Wheels in Highstown, NJ. An avid reader, she was active at the Albert Wisner Library in Warwick, NY. She was a former parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua in Hightstown, NJ and attended St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Coyne of Warwick; her grandchildren: Amanda, Christina and Tyler Coyne of Warwick; her sisters: Margaret Reisinger and her husband Andrew of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary Fallon and her husband Bill of Jackson Heights, NY, and Ann Bauersachs and her husband Leonard of Hamilton, NJ; a brother, Thomas Carolan of Bath, NY; and daughter-in-law, Diana Coyne. She was preceded in death by a brother, who died as a child, James Carolan, Jr. and brother, John Carolan and his wife Nora.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 26^th, from 2:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday at St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Warwick Little League, PO Box 153, Warwick, NY 10990.
