Joyce E. Smith

Joyce E. Smith, of Warwick, passed away on July 4, 2015 at St. Anthony Community Hospital.  She was 74 years old. 

Born on June 12, 1941 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and G. Estelle (Shinaberry) Secor.

She was married for 47 years to Orville Smith. 

Before retiring, Joyce was a Registered Nurse.  She was a member of Warwick United Methodist Church, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Warwick, and she was a volunteer as a foster home for dogs. 

She is survived by her husband Orville, of Warwick; her daughter, Jennifer Frischknecht and her husband Steve of Warwick; her son, Douglas E. Smith and his wife Michelle of Morristown, NJ; her grandchildren:  Kyle, Ryan and Holly.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine and a brother, Dr. Rollen Secor.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 8th, from 9:00 am – 11:00 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery. 

Memorial donations may be made to Warwick Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990.
