William A. "Buddy" Christian

William A. “Buddy” Christian, of Warwick (formerly of Tuxedo) passed away on July 17, 2015 at home. He was 87 years old.
Born on July 9, 1928 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Spencer) Christian.
He was married the late Francoise Marie Louise (Glorie) Christian in Calais, France.
William served with the US Army during the Korean War. A graduate of Syracuse University, he remained a loyal fan of Syracuse sports, especially the basketball team. He was an Electrical Engineer with Alcatel Lucent in Union, NJ. He was very active in town activities while living in Tuxedo, and loved to travel with his family, especially in France. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Tuxedo.
He is survived by his two sons: David Christian and his wife Jennifer of Warwick, and Stefan Christian of Tuxedo; two grandchildren: Justin and Paige; and many nieces and nephews; and his grand-dog, Bailey.
The family would like to thank all of those from Hospice who cared for Buddy these last few months, and also his aide and dear friend, Vicky Stewart.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 22nd, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 am on Thursday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 5 Tobin Way, Tuxedo, followed by interment in The Cemetery of the Ascension in Monsey, NY.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
