Robert J. Galligan

Robert J. Galligan, of Warwick (formerly of New City, NY and Queens), passed away at home on August 8, 2015.  He was 75 years old. 

Born on July 20, 1940 in Baldwin, NY, he was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (Antonyshyn) Galligan.

He was married to Gertrude (Kane) Galligan.

Robert was a Graphic Artist with G. S. Imaging in New Jersey.  He was a member of St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #4952, and Ancient Order of Hibernians.  He loved the NY Yankees and caring for his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude of Warwick; two sons:  Robert and his wife Mimi of Savannah, GA, and Patrick of Brooklyn;  two grandchildren: Drusilla Clingan of
Wyoming and Alyssa Price of Chicago, IL;  two great-grandchildren: Montana Clingan and Chet Clingan.  He was predeceased by a son, Michael R. Galligan.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 13th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday at St. Stephen RC Church, followed by interment in St. Johns Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens.

So sorry to hear of Alyssa's grandfather passing away. We met once when we were with Ellen and Alyssa a couple of years ago. Grandpas are very special and I know Alyssa has fond memories of times with him. Love to you all, Gail and Scott (Alyssa's aunt & uncle in Florida)
