Clifford A. "Chip" Rudy, 91 a lifelong resident of the Town of Warwick, NY passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015.
Born in Warwick, NY on May 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Mary Langlitz and Peter Rudy. He was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, the late Marie A. Ibbetson.
He was a dairy farmer and later became a horse farm manager. Dad loved country music and polkas; was a great dancer and a sharp dresser. He loved gardening and going on senior citizen trips.
He is survived by his companion, Lillian Storms; his son, Joe and wife, Sue Rudy of Port Jervis; daughters: Mary and husband, Gary Kerstanski of Goshen, Janet and husband, Keith Bergamo of Woodridge; grandchildren: Alex Kerstanski, Tyler and Emily Rudy; one brother, Samuel and his wife, Helen and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Pauline; brothers: John, Jacob, Harold, Henry, Otto and Richard.
He was one of the original founding members of the Amity Fire Company and a member of the Pine Island Senior Citizens.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 7th at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. The funeral will be celebrated with Pastor Timothy Anderson at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8th at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 70 Little York Road, Warwick, NY. Burial will follow at Warwick Cemetery in Warwick.
