Helen M. Eichelberger, of Hockessin, DE, passed away in her sleep on October 27, 2016 at Highland Rehab. & Nursing Home, Middletown, NY. She was 85 years old.
Born on April 26, 1931 in Jonesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. and Glesseye P. (Hedrick) Munsey.
She was married to her loving husband, George C. Eichelberger, for 59 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening for her family.
Helen was formerly a Legal Secretary for Harleysville insurance Co.
She is survived by her husband, George C. Eichelberger; her children: Earl Eichelberger of Warwick and George Kevin Eichelberger and his wife Fran of Chagrin Falls, OH; her grandchildren: Jacob Eichelberger and wife Tracy of Merritt Island, FL, Stephanie Eichelberger of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph Eichelberger of Warwick, Sara Eichelberger of Warwick, and Matthew, Anna and Emily Eichelberger of Chagrin Falls, OH; and great-grandchildren: Kamryn, Sean and Harmony. She is also survived by her brothers: Earl Munsey and James Munsey; her sisters: Loretta Richards, Treva Cooper and Linda Richards.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 31st, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by private cremation.
