Debbie Iurato

Deborah Fox Iurato, a 40 year resident of Warwick, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 23, 2017 at Westchester Medical Center.  She was 63 years old. 

Born on June 24, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Howard and Marian (Wilson) Holgate.

She was married to William Iurato.

ebbie was a graduate of Ridgewood High School, NJ and she was co-owner of Peck’s Wine & Spirits, Warwick, NY with her husband. She served as treasurer of the Warwick Merchants Guild and was a former board member of the Warwick Historical Society. She was a loving and gentle wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, William Iurato of Warwick;  her daughters:  Corrine Iurato of Warwick, Emily Iurato and her partner Shaun Zalegowski of Mount Carmel, PA, and Christie Gabai and her husband Aryn of Lambertville, NJ;  two grandchildren:  Cayleb and Gemma; three sisters:  Sally Dewolfe of Carbondale, CO, Joann Dowd of Sandwich, England, and Chrissy Stromeyer of St. Augustine, FL.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, January 28th, from 2:00-6:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday at Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave., Warwick. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Debbie’s name to a favorite local charity.
