Elizabeth A. House

Elizabeth A. House, a lifelong resident of Warwick, after a short illness, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center.  She was 76 years old.

Born on February 3, 1941 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel (Ritchie) Quackenbush.

She was married to Alan G. House, Sr.

She was co-owner of House Dairy Farm in Warwick and was a lover of all animals.  She was a member of the Golden Floridians and the New Milford & Edenville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alan G. House Sr. of Warwick;  her sons:  Alan G. House, Jr. and his wife Amy of Manhattan, NY, and Jason House and his wife Nancy of Warwick;  her grandchildren:  Vivian, Brody, James, Ava and Elliot; her sister-in-law Patricia Quackenbush of Warwick;  nieces and a nephew.  She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Quackenbush.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 on Friday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to New Milford & Edenville United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 137, New Milford, NY  10959.

We send our deepest sympathy to you all. Betty was a special lady and a wonderful friend. We were so blessed to know her. She had such love for everyone, especially her family. Betty is your special angel in heaven.
