Howard “Pete” J. Masker, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on February 24, 2017 at St. Anthony Community Hospital with his family at his side. He was 83 years old.
Born on March 26, 1933 in Middletown, NY, he was the son of the late Milton and Mildred (Currier) Masker.
He was married to Rosemarie (Faulls) Masker for 62 years.
He was a Navy veteran, he was a retired Bus Driver with New Jersey Transit, as well as a retired messenger for NY Life Insurance Company in New York City for many years. He was an avid hunter and adored his dog, Ozzie.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie of Warwick; his twin daughters: Diane Colon and her husband German of Warwick and Donna Masker of Warwick; three grandsons: Justin Colon and wife Kathryn of Warwick, Chase Planson and wife Morrisa of Croton-on-Hudson, and Evan Colon and wife Heather of Warwick; three great-granddaughters: Scarlett, Kennedy and Teagan; and three sisters: Gwendolyn Holodinski, Estelle Youngman and husband Kenneth, and Phyllis Miller and husband Bruce, all of Warwick. He was predeceased by two brothers, Milton and Freeman.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 27th, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Private cremation.
