Joseph J. Martiniello, of Chester, NY, passed away at home on March 6, 2017. He was 64 years old.
Born on March 15, 1952 in Jamaica, Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria (Pauciullo) Martiniello.
He was married to Diane (Burgos) Martiniello.
Joseph retired in 1995 from the New York Police Department, where he was a Mounted Police Officer in New York City. He loved horses and repaired tack and horse equipment for many years. He was a member of St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Chester; his children: Daniel Haenlein and his wife Jennifer of Cornwall, NY, Ivana Martiniello of Chester, NY, and Michael J. Martiniello of Chester, NY; his grandchildren: Tyler Haenlein and Emma Haenlein; his sisters: Antoinette Miele of New City, NY and Mary Ann Pacifico of Manalapan, NJ; his brother, Augustino Martiniello of Staten Island, NY. He was predeceased by a sister, Gina Martiniello.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 9th, from 3:00 pm–7:00 pm and Friday, March 10th, from 9:00 am-10:30 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday at St. Stephen RC Church, Warwick. Private cremation.
