Jose V. Dominguez

Jose V. Dominguez, of Warwick, NY (formerly of Westtown), passed away on March 18, 2017 at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 76 years old.

Born on November 3, 1940 in Montevideo, Uruguay, he was the son of Enrrique and Jorgelina (Larrama) Dominguez.

He was married to Darioleta Gloria Ball-Dominguez.

Before retiring, Jose and his son owned Royal Flooring Company, Monroe, NY. He worked in radio in Uruguay for many years and was an avid photographer.

A family statement reads “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a beloved husband, father, grandfather who left us too soon. Papo was a devoted family man whose work ethic, deep faith and gentle soul leave a void that no one can ever fill. He taught us all what unconditional love looks like—one act of loving-kindness at a time. On earth you were the embodiment of the fruits of the Spirit, and now you are making a place for us in heaven.”

He is survived by his wife Darioleta of Warwick; his daughter, Dary Dominguez-Politoski of Westtown, NY; his son, Martin Dominguez-Ball and his wife Joan of Warwick; his grandchildren: Andrew Byrne, Kelsey Byrne, Matthew Politoski, Natalie Politoski, Ian Dominguez-Ball and Victoria Politoski; his granddog, Eugene; and two brothers, Jorge Dominguez and Fredi Dominguez in Uruguay and a sister, Marielena Dominguez in Argentina.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 22^nd, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY.
