Louis John Martinez

Louis John Martinez, of Vernon, NJ (formerly of  Port Richey, Florida), passed away on March 20, 2017 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick.  He was 46 years old.

Born on April 2, 1970 in Englewood, NJ, he was the son of Louis J. and Lydia (Reyes) Martinez.

He was married to Susan (Smith) Martinez.

He was a Technician with First Priority Emergency Vehicles in Flanders, NJ and was a volunteer with the McAfee Fire Department and was a driver with the Glenwood Police Volunteer EMS.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sparta Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Martinez of Vernon; his children:  Ashley Van Dyke of New Port Richey, FL, Jonathan Martinez of New Port Richey, FL, Lori Kersh of Utah, and Joseph L. Martinez of Vernon, NJ; and two grandchildren:  Arley and Quinn. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the McAfee Firehouse, Route 94, Vernon.  Friends are invited to come at 10:00 am to greet family; service will be held at 10:30 am, followed by a reception with refreshments provided.  All are welcome to come and visit with the family after the service.
