Anna B. White

Anna B. White passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick, at the age of 87.

Born on March 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence May (Hocking) Bryant.

Anna was born and raised and lived her entire life in Warwick, NY, except for the two years she served as a Wave with the US Navy (during Korean War), where she met her husband, Gene.  They were married 64 years.

She was a member, volunteer, and served on the Board of Directors for the Warwick Valley Humane Society was a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels”, was a member of the New Milford Historical Society, the Warwick Historical Society, the American Legion Post 214, the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway Veteran’s Association, a charter member of the Half Moon Postcard Club, and well-known for her extensive collection of antique postcards of the Warwick area.  She had a love for all animals, especially birds, deer, gardening and all flowers, and her two loving kittens.

She is survived by her husband, Edmund E. “Gene” White; her daughter, Melissa Boxman and husband, Thomas of Goshen; and grandson, David W. Drew, Jr. and wife Lindsey and great-granddaughter Lilian;  and grandson, Matthew Drew; a sister-in-law, Norma Bryant, several dear nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Grace Miller and a brother, William Bryant.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the Schervier staff in both Forest and Maple Halls for their special love and care.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 27th, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anne’s name to either Warwick Volunteer Ambulance Corp, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990 or Warwick Valley Humane Society, PO Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
