Helen Klopchin

Helen Klopchin, of Paris, Tennessee, formerly of Warwick and Nunda NY, passed away on May 19th, 2017.
Born on July 3rd, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Kane and Henrietta (Hilke) Kane.
She was married in Rockland Lake to the late Raymond Klopchin, Sr.
Before retiring, Helen was a dedicated Medicaid case worker with The Orange County Department of Social Services in Goshen, New York.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Jr., of Port Jervis, Robert, of New Hampton, Bryan, of Monroe, Gary of Barryville and daughters Lynn Gates of Paris, Tennessee, Nancy Klopchin of Rochester and Helen Beard of Clermont. Florida. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gary Kane of Magnolia Ohio and her sister, Katherine Mees of Jasper, Ohio. Helen was predeceased by her daughters Mary White and Janet Ferarra, her brother Robert Kane and sister Irma Steiner. Helen loved and treasured her family, as well as her extended family. Helen could often be found reading a good novel and seldom passed up a night out at bingo or a cool plate of oysters. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25, from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 26, at St.Stephen RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
