Catherine M. Pfund

Catherine M. Pfund, of Warwick, passed away on July 2, 2017 at her home.  She was 77 years old.

Born on April 6, 1940 in Manhattan, NY. she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Maher) Murphy.

She was married to the late William J. Pfund (1998).

Before retiring, Catherine was a Teacher’s Aide at St. Stephen’s school in Warwick.  Previously, she worked at Con Ed in Manhattan from 1955-1966.

She is survived by her children:  Ann Marie Pfund and her wife Jill Benton of Manhattan, Susan Pfund Zizmor and her husband Brad of Manhattan, Amy Marie Whitmore of Harriman, and Mary Catherine Collura and her husband John of Warwick; her grandchildren:  Ezra, Louis and Katelyn; a sister, Ann O’Donnell and her husband Daniel of Greenwood Lake.  She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Cassidy.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 7th,  from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 8th, at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550 or St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain, SD 57325.
