Marie Barth of Warwick, NY, passed away on January 31, 2018 in Rochelle Park, NJ. She was 82 years old.

 

Born June 2, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ to Louis Stark and Marion Crawford.

 

She worked as the head cashier at Grand Union in Warwick and later worked part-time at Target as a cashier.

 

She was married to Wayne Barth who predeceased her on December 30, 2017.

 

Marie enjoyed bowling on her league at Frontier Lanes and she was active in the Queens Village Queens for many years.  She also loved to travel, but her greatest loves were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Barth of Outer Banks, SC , Debra Gorish and her husband Otto of Florida, NY, Susanne Barrett of Largo, FL, , and her son, Wayne S. Barth of Warwick; grandsons Otto Gorish and John Barrett; granddaughters Rena Marr, Shana Myers, Erica Barth, Sierra Barth and Melissa Barth; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Marie Stark of Midland Park, NJ and Maureen Grisez of Ft. Lee, NJ. She was also predeceased by her brother Richard Stark and grandson Frank Spargo.

 

The family would like to thank all of Marie’s caregivers, Mary Jane and AJ who took wonderful care of Marie and Reid for all of his help to her and our family.

 

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday (due to weather) February 8 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Warwick Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY, 10990.

So sorry to hear this. Your family has had a rough few weeks here. I will always remember her talks when she took her walks around the block and I was at my Moms working outside in the yard. She would stop and chat. Funny conversations! My thoughts are with your family. God bless you all.

I met Marie while working at Target. Marie was a wonderful firecracker, she made the humdrum days of retail life exciting with her spicy flair. I could listen to her banter for days, she knew what life was about and I'm so glad I got to experience it thru her eyes. Rest in peace Marie don't cause too much trouble in heaven❤The Linares Family
