of Warwick, died on January 16, 2007 at Arden Hill Hospital. He was 57 years old.
Born on May 20, 1949 in Warwick, New York, he was the son of Betty-Jane Norris Smith and the late Wilbur Lazear-Smith.
He was the husband of Mary Wlodkoski Smith.
Bob was a Funeral Director and President of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick. He was also an Accountant with the firm of Borgmeier & Alario in Warwick. He was a member and past President of Excelsior Hose Company of the Warwick Fire Department, Treasurer of the Warwick Fire District for over 20 years, a member of the Warwick Fire Police, Treasurer of the Warwick Republican Committee, former Director of the Warwick Savings Bank, and a Trustee of the Warwick Savings Foundation. He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Smith; his mother, Betty Jane Smith; his daughter, Katherine Kirkpatrick and her husband Gregory; two sons: Matthew Smith and his wife Dawn, and Stephen Smith and his wife Emily; four loving grandchildren: Paris, Devin, Peter and Ian; a brother, Dr. Wilbur Lazear Smith and his wife Becky; and five beloved nephews and one beloved niece.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:45am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry, 135 Forest Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990 or St. Stephens Church Building Fund, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
