Shirley Cooper of Seattle, Washington (formerly of Chester, NY) passed away in Middletown, NY on December 15, 2021. She was 75 years old.

 

Born in Seattle, Washington, on August 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Susan (Pasich) Eckert.  She was married to the late Jack Cooper.

 

Shirley worked in Medical Administration for Pacific Medical Centers in Seattle. 

Shirley was always busy reading, gardening, and baking, and was a true talent at knitting and crocheting. She was a devoted fan to her Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners.

 

Shirley belonged to the knitting group at the Albert Wisner Library, and was part of Bliss, the women’s co-op in Sugar Loaf.  Shirley had a light and an ease about her that always made everyone feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

 

Shirley is survived by her children and their families: Sherry Ryan and her husband Glenn and their son Zach, Sally Rudnick and her husband Travis and their daughters Molly and Emma, and stepson Jesse Cooper and his wife Michelle; sister Sharon Friedman; and her beloved dog Ben.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 2 to 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 4:00 at the funeral home.
