Doris M. Cervia

Doris M. Cervia of Warwick, NY passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023, at Garnet Medical Center, Wallkill. She was 91 years old.

Born in Union City, NJ on February 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Dominic and Elizabeth Cospito.

A family statement reads, “Doris was a kind and gentle woman who loved animals. She had a laugh that everyone liked. She was someone others gravitated towards and became friends with easily.”

Dori is survived by her son Gary of Warwick, NY; daughter Mildred Guzzo and her husband John of Centerville, MA; two grandchildren Michelle Azoff and her husband Eric and Tracy Guzzo; four great-grandchildren: Alexa, Savannah, Chloe, and Madison. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and two brothers Anthony “Tony” and Peter Cospito.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27^th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held at the funeral home with a procession following to Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Doris’ memory to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
