Joe Augusta of Warwick, NY formerly of River Edge, NJ, passed away at Montefiore Nyack Hospital on April 26, 2019. He was 87 years old.

Born in Cumberland, Kentucky on March 14, 1932, he was the son of Charlie Agosta and Cecelia Rosacha.

Joe was the owner of, as well as a hairdresser at, Joseph Augusta Hairdressers on Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, NJ.

He served in the Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper. He was a member of the American Legion in Warwick, NY and at the River Edge, NJ Post.

Joe is survived by his wife, Ann; their six children: Charles Augusta and wife Britta of Warwick, Elizabeth Di Modugno of Warwick, Virginia Augusta and husband Matthew of Ithaca, NY, Patricia Augusta of Warwick, Alexandria Sarki and husband Orhan of Florida, NY and Joseph Augusta of Scottsdale, AZ; and his 15 grandchildren to whom he was a loving Grampy.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday May 4th, 2019 at Christ Church located at the corner of Second and South Street in Warwick, NY 10990
