Philip Andrew “Phil” Lehr, of Greenwood Lake, NY, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home with his devoted wife at his side. He was 77.
Son of the late Charles Lehr and Mary Junkin Lehr, Philip was born in Easton, PA in 1937.
He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1955 and from Shelton College, Ringwood, NJ in 1960. He later received his Master’s in Education from Montclair State University in NJ.
Phil was a beloved mathematics teacher at Eisenhower Middle School in Wyckoff, NJ for 37 years. He was not only a dedicated teacher, but also a championship soccer and baseball coach.
Through the years, Phil was an active member of the Pompton Reformed Church, Pompton Lakes, NJ, Warwick Reformed Church, Warwick, NY and Faith Reformed Church in Slate Hill, NY. He served as an Elder and/or Deacon in each church.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Wiley-Kamerling), his two step-sons, Glen Kamerling of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Greg Kamerling of Orlando, FL; his sister, Helen (Bonnie) Kern and husband Larry of Belvidere, NJ; his sister, Sheila Wendy Lehr and her partner Gary Briggle of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by his niece, Wendy Kern of Littleton, NJ, and nephew Brad Kern of Hancock, NY.
Phil is also predeceased by brother David and his first wife, Kay (Doughty)Lehr, and survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kay Lehr and her partner Gary Supla of Hewitt, NJ.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
