Fred Augello

(formerly of Valley Stream, LI), died on September 27, 2006 in Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown.  He was 80 years old.

 

Born on October 22, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Saieva Augello.

 

He was married to Dorothy Safoschnik Augello.

 

Mr. Augello served with the US Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #214, Warwick.  He was a Foreman with Evan Picone in New York City.

 

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Warwick; five children: Anna Babcock and her husband Ronny,  Phyllis Donovan and her husband Jim, Anthony Augello, all of Long Island, Florence Eve of Washingtonville, and Nancy Mauro and her husband Joe of Warwick; six grandchildren:  Kathleen, Joseph, Krystle, Brian, Megan and Kimberly; two great-grandsons:  Aidan and Michael; two brothers: Frank Augello and his wife Paula of Long Island, and Tony Augello and his wife Mary Ann of the state of Florida; two sisters:  Rose Ranft and her husband Charles, and Lee Canella and her husband Tony, both of Long Island.

 

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 1st, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral service will be at 8:30 pm on Sunday.  Interment will be at 1:00 pm on Monday at Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island.
