William Wollowitz, of Warwick, passed away on November 17, 2011 in Hudson Valley Hospital Center. He was 86 years old.
Born on July 24, 1925 in New York, he was the son of the late Hyman and Eva (Cherkoff) Wollowitz.
Mr. Wollowitz served with the US Army during World War II as a Heavy Machine Gunner and was the recipient of the Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
He was a Dairy Clerk with Shop-Rite in Warwick. He enjoyed and taught music. Bill will be remembered as a kind and gentle man.
He is survived by a sister, Cynthia Grill of Warwick and a niece, Adele Grill, of Warwick.
He was interred at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, with military honors.
