
Edward Burdett Green, Jr., a lifelong resident of Warwick, NY, passed away on January 28, 2017 at Schervier Pavilion. He was 94 years old.
Born on October 18, 1922 in Warwick, he was the son of the late Edward Burdett Green, Sr. and Matilda Van Vessem.
He was married to the late Jessie Smith Green (2009).
Edward served with the US Army during World War II and worked for Lehigh & Hudson Railroads. He then worked at the Warwick Valley School bus garage. Ed was a member of the VFW Post 4662 for many years and was a 75 year member of Raymond Hose Fire Company in Warwick.
He is survived by his sister, Alice Blake Coates of Warwick; his niece, Carol Neathery of Monticello, NY; his sister-in-law Margaret E. Green; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Kimberly Luks-Green and Donna Green, and a brother Arthur R. Green.
Memorial visitation will be on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Warwick Cemetery.
