Carol A. Uhlenbush, of Warwick, NY (formerly of Ridgefield Park, NJ) passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 24, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was 73 years old.
Born on October 21, 1938 in Hackensack, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Gladys (Fawcett) Hansen.
Carol was formerly a waitress at Warwick Gardens, Warwick. She also worked as an antique dealer at the Clocktower in Warwick for many years. Carol was an avid painter, loved to read, and collected antiques and pottery.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Van Ry of Oakland, NJ; grandson, Daryl Van Ry and his wife Becky of Morris Plains, NJ; a granddaughter, Tara Van Ry of Oakland, NJ; great-grandchildren: Ashlyn and Kiersten Van Ry. She was predeceased by two sons, Edward and Scott, and a sister, Dorothy Haynes.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange & Sullivan County and the staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick for their wonderful care and support.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.
