
The family of William H. Vieldhouse, Sr. announces his peaceful passing surrounded by his loved ones on April 29, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was 82 years old.
Born in Paterson, NJ, on May 9, 1942, he was the son of James H. and Harriet (Steigina) Vieldhouse.
William was the owner and operator of Vieldhouse Trucking until his retirement.
A family statement reads, “Bill, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was known for his love and devotion to his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As our family grew, so did his love for each and every one of the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. His passing will leave a giant emptiness in our family.”
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janet M. (Hook) Vieldhouse; daughters Barbara Van Orden and her husband Elbert and Tammy Malocsay and her husband Michael; 15 grandchildren: Cheryl Reed(William), Elbert Van Orden(Melissa), Kimberly Ciaburri(Matthew), Michelle Sawey(Jeffrey), Wayne Van Orden, Casey Sayad(Elias), Taylor Van Orden, Kristina Vieldhouse, Laurie Riesel(Bradley), Samantha Jo Beysel(William), William Vieldhouse(Sarah), Cynthia Magaraci, Joseph Magaraci III(Priscilla), Faith Malocsay, and Hope Malocsay; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son William, Jr.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6th at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7th at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery, 50 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.
