Catherine Aurelia Rudy, of Middletown (formerly of Warwick), passed away on June 4, 2012 after a long illness. She was 89 years old.
A resident of Orange County throughout her life, she was born on September 12, 1922 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Ethel (Masker) Doty.
She was married to the late Otto Peter Rudy.
Catherine worked as a Clerk with Barbara Moss in Middletown. Previously, she worked on a dairy farm with her husband, was the former owner of Rudy’s Sunoco in New Hampton, a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a former volunteer at Horton Hospital. She was a member of the Family of Faith Lutheran Church in Middletown.
A family statement reads: “She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to all.”
She is survived by her daughters: Joan Brady and her husband Rich, Rosemarie Woloszak and her husband Ray, Darlene Melendez and her husband Tony); six grandchildren: Coreena D’Allesandro, Laurie Hannon, Amanda Banks, Cris Woloszak, Eric Melendez, Natalie Melendez; ten great-grandchildren: Nicole and Mathew Hannon, Emily, Andrew and Clay D’Allesandro, Caroline and Christian Banks and Haleigh, Logan and Gavin Woloszak.
The last of six children, she was predeceased by three sisters: Lena Sherman, Laura Daubert and Bernice Daubert and two brothers: Woodrow Doty, and Marcus Doty.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 6th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 95 Kings Highway, Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery,
