
Warren E. Schroeder, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2012. He was 66 years old.
Born on July 13, 1946 in Wallington, NJ, he was the son of the late Ernest and Christine (Christiansen) Schroeder.
Warren was an IT Administrator with McCann Torre Lazur in Parsippany, NJ and the owner of Spectrum Signs, Warwick. He was a member of Warwick United Methodist Church.
A family statement reads: “Warren took his final train ride at 7:08 on the number 9 train on 10/11/12. He was an avid model railroader with several sets, including a 400 foot ride-on layout he built himself with a gas powered engine and passenger cars. Warren built a soda fountain in his basement where he loved to serve floats and milk shakes to his family. He was an intelligent man with a creative mind that never stopped. He held multiple patents, and designed several web sites.”
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (nee Ballanco) of Warwick; a daughter, Rebecca Luraschi and her husband Michael of Warwick; a son, Dane Schroeder and his wife Kristina of Wharton, NJ; three grandchildren: Leiden, Kalen and Annabelle. He was predeceased by his daughter, Heidi.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 12th, from 12:00-3:00 pm and Saturday, October 13th, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm at Warwick United Methodist Church, Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
