Florence Roca of Warwick, passed away on October 18th 2015 at Schervier Pavilion with her children at her side. She was 80 years old.
Florence was born on July 22nd 1935 in Queens, NY. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Rose (Vareo) Di Bono. Florence was the last living sibling of nine children. On August 12th 1962, Florence married the love of her life, the late John Roca. Together they had two children. After the passing of her husband, Florence’s strength and resilience persevered, dedicating her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Carmela Marshall, her son Vito Roca, son-in-law George Marshall and daughter-in-law Tina Roca. Florence has four grandchildren who she cherished; Michael Marshall, Nicole Marshall, John Roca and Anthony Roca of Warwick.
Funeral mass will be on Monday, November 23rd 2015, 9:30 am at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary & Stephen Roman Catholic Church 125 Summit St, Brooklyn, NY followed by a service at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel in Brooklyn and than interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Florence Roca’s name can be made to Schervier Pavilion.
